Founded in 2016 by G.B. Chandrashekar, Thuadai Organic Farm (தூடை) has been a pioneer in organic farming in the Nilgiri district. Located in Kukkal Village, just 13 km from Kotagiri and 25 km from Ooty, our farm received organic certification in 2019 — becoming the first certified organic farm in the region. Since then, we have played a vital role in promoting organic farming by helping many farmers adopt sustainable agricultural practices.
At Thuadai, we specialize in cultivating both native and exotic vegetables, adhering to the highest standards of organic farming. Our commitment to sustainability goes beyond cultivation — we serve as an educational hub, regularly conducting training sessions for students and farmers.
Our unique hill-based environment allows us to produce our own organic manure, rich in nutrients and known for its long-lasting impact on plant growth. This natural approach enhances the quality and imparts a superior taste to our crops.

"Such an amazing experience at Thuadai organic farm school! The place is almost an hour away from Ooty but worth the drive. Run by a family so passionate about what they do. Fresh, exotic vegetables all grown in 100% organic ways. We walked around the farm, harvested some fresh kale and lettuce and bought a lot of vegetables freshly picked from the farm.
